Cork Board World Map: with or without the frame?
The eternal dilemma – in most cases, we recommend buying it with a frame. Here are the main reasons why you should go for one model or the other. And don't forget, you can select the frame in black or white.
Frameless cork map
Frameless maps are the most affordable option and have a significant advantage: you don't have to drill holes in the wall to hang them. You can also do it by using double-sided tape.
Framed cork map
If you opt for a framed map,you will be able to move it more quickly and, if you prefer not to drill holes in the wall, you can always place it on top of a piece of furniture or directly on the floor. They have much more presence and are easier to handle.

Inspirations for decorating your home with a map [photos posted by our customers on Instagram]

Above the sofa
One of our customers' favourite locations – the map will create a travelling atmosphere in your living room, inspiring you daily to remember the funniest anecdotes with your guests and plan new trips.

Above the headboard
Ideal if you want to wake up full of enthusiasm and desire to discover the world and close your eyes at night dreaming of the best memories of all your adventures.

Above the desk
More and more of us are working from home, so we're always looking for ideas to decorate our new home office. The solution? A map to plan new journeys between work emails and zoom meetings.

On top of a piece of furniture
Any piece of furniture will do, whether high or low. The only recommendation is to place it on the top of one longer than the map. This way, the ensemble will be more harmonious and, above all, safer. Moreover, it is the perfect solution for those wanting to "hang" their map without drilling holes in the wall.

On the floor
Another ideal option for those not willing to drill holes in the wall that prefer a more creative and artistic decoration; it will create a young vibe wherever you place it. In this case, we recommend always go for framed maps. Important! If you have kids, pay attention to the pins because they will be within their reach.

On top of a shelf
Another original idea to avoid drilling holes in the wall and add a unique touch to any room. Extra tip: you can use the rest of the shelf to put matching items or souvenirs from all your travels and create a special corner where you can dream of new adventures.
Fun facts about the Woody Map or Cork World Map
· Miss Wood was the first brand to create the concept of cork maps in 2016. Searching on Pinterest, we saw that many people tried some handmade versions, but often the result wasn't exactly that hoped for.
· It is not difficult to make a homemade map, but it requires time, patience, and technique to achieve a good finish. It gets complicated, for example, at the time of defining the borders or making the paint smooth.
· Miss Wood invented the name Woody Map. That is how we call the whole category of maps we produce in our atelier.
· All our cork maps are made entirely in our atelier in Barcelona, Spain.
· As well as in our online shop, you can find your Woody Map on Amazon, Natura, Fnac or El Corte Inglés. At the moment, the models on sale at Leroy Merlin, Lidl, Aliexpress, Tiger or Ikea are "inspirations" of Miss Wood maps, to put it mildly
